Volume Rendering

In this mode, you can create a 2D image of the 3D model.

The volume rendered image will use the position/orientation of the model in the 3D window.  It will also be affected by the color of the model (you can change it with the "3D Shading" tool), the background (changed with the "3D Background" tool) and the light position and colors (changed with the "3D Light" tool).

The Volume Rendering tool has 2 rendering modes:

·The Surface mode will render an iso-surface that match the characteristics of the polygons (a surface at the threshold value).

·The Volume mode use a ramp of transparency to display the voxels near the threshold.  You can control the slope of the transparency ramp.
