Mode Projection

In this mode, you can create walls by projecting voxels from the surface under the brush to clip plane closer to the user..

To help project in the correct directions, all perspectives are removed from the displayed 3D window.  The projection is done from the surface of the geometry toward the viewer.

Since the projection is computed with the mask and not the GLI values, if there is any angle between the projection direction and one of the main axis, it will be visible as a pronounced staircase effect.  To minimize this, it is recommended to align the geometry with the main axis using the "Rotate" mode and then, when placing the model in the projection mode, only use 90 degrees rotations.  The angle of the between the model and the projection direction can be controlled with the "3D Transform" tool. Make sure you use the mouse wheel to adjust the angles to prevent fraction of degree values..

Clear all

Clear the "projection" mask from all the voxel.  in effect removing all projections.

From the Display Area

You use the mouse in the 3D window to draw the projection.  Each brush stroke can be undone/redone with the Undo interface.

The mouse wheel can be used to change the brush radius.
