Mode Filter

In this mode, you can apply a filter to the voxels of the dataset.

Ultrasound images are usually very noisy.  The filter enable you to remove part of that noise.  The filter's parameter is the radius (in voxels) of the convolution kernel used to filter the image.

Radius < 1

Radius = 2.5

Radius = 5.0

From the Graphic Interface

Radius

You can select the radius of the filter.  Any value under 1.0 will result in no filter applied to the data.  The radius is in voxels.

Note:

Pressing the "Scroll Lock" key while the cursor is over the slider will lock/unlock the slider.  The slider's value can not be changed while it is locked.

From the Display Area

You can use the mouse wheel to change the value of the filter radius.  The change will be of 0.1 voxel per click.
